Thermal Hotel Margitsziget is situated on Budapest's Margaret Island, adjacent to Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget, connected to it by a heated underground corridor. Services of both hotels are at our guests' disposal. Margaret Island was originally three separate islands that were joined together in the last century. The island, which stretches for 4 kilometres, is a protected leafy botanical parkland with ancient trees, a Japanese Garden, a Rose Garden, an open-air amphitheatre, walking and jogging tracks. The island is car-free (hotel guests can enter the island), peaceful and perfectly placed in the middle of the city, between Pest and Buda, on the River Danube. Bicycles, horses, carts and electric buggies can be hired to help you get around. 

All rooms have a balcony overlooking either the Danube or Margaret Island, air-conditioning, colour satellite TV, in-room safe, minibar, hairdryer, free bathrobe use, 220 V electric current. High-speed, broadband, wireless Internet access (WiFi) is available in some of the rooms. Non-smoking rooms, rooms for the disabled and connecting rooms are available.

The hotel, in combination with the facilities of the neighbouring Danubius Grand Hotel offers outstanding banquet and conference facilities for 300 guests and can cater for up to 1200 delegates in 8 multi-size function rooms.

Our dedicated staff, high-quality services and technology, combined with a wide range of food and beverage options makes the hotel an ideal location for events big or small. High-speed, broadband, wireless Internet access (WiFi) is available in the function rooms, the lobby, the Business Centre and the common areas.

We are also able to combine our spa services with conferences, to enable clients to have an unforgettable experience here on Margaret Island.

The Platán Restaurant with a garden terrace offers a variety of dishes and business buffet lunches from international and Hungarian cuisines - and a culinary evening every Thursday. Boróka Lobby Bar, Neptun Pool Bar, Kamilla Coffee Shop serve a wide range of light meals, salads and Danubius Wellness Menus. Cakes, ice creams, tea and coffee, beers, cocktails and refreshments are also available. Széchenyi Restaurant in the Grand Hotel is also available to the guests of the Thermal Hotel. This has a terrace overlooking the park, accompanied by gypsy music.
